Our survey teams are equipped with the very latest in GPS and Total station technology by Trimble© meaning that whatever the weather and location we will be able to quickly and accurately collect the data required. Drawings will generally be provided in AutoCAD© format for precise drafting although other formats are available on request.
Before commencing any works we would discuss your requirements to ensure clarity of scope and end use purpose. Surveys can be for many purposes and as the specifications and data gathered has a direct correlation to the quantity of works it is essential that right information is recorded.
Boundary Surveys – generally these will only record the buildings, walls and property divisions (ditches, fences etc) necessary to provide direct overlay on the land registry plan for comparison purposes. These are normally undertaken for change of registered title or to resolve boundary disputes.
Topographic Surveys – A more detailed survey which will record any features as specified by the client, generally this would include all the buildings, property divisions, man-made features, trees, watercourses and levels within the survey area. These are normally undertaken to enable design of new build projects, landscaping and event planning.
Engineering Surveys – These are normally undertaken to accurately record the location and dimensions of built structures (tunnels, process plant etc) to a higher degree of accuracy than topo’ surveys and provide the information necessary to enable design of modifications to the plant or structure.
Deformation monitoring – This may include tracking the change in ovality of a tunnel when works are undertaken in the vicinity or recording the changes in ground level over time due to dewatering. Common methods would be by use of digital gauges, crack monitors, high precision levels and tell tales. This type of work would normally be undertaken against a schedule devised by a structural engineer though for domestic properties this may also be specified by the Architect or insurance assessor.
3d Modelling and Aerial Photogrammetry – As an additional surveying aid we have invested in drone technology and deploy the Anafi by Parrot system to gather data out of the range of conventional man carried systems, such environments vary from motorway and rail networks to live firing ranges for inert and explosive projectiles. We are a CAA certified UAV operator and can provide data outputs in various formats depending on your requirements. Please contact us to discuss how this technology can provide a unique perspective to your project.
